More percocet, FTW!
I'm super stressed and excited and anxious. It's just a lot to do, and a lot going on, and oh my GOD I wish that I hadn't had to come back to Tulsa this week!!!! That has been the bane of my existence. Colin stayed in Montana though to help out, so at least HE gets to help. :)
So I probably won't be around much the next three weeks. Well, not that I was around much the past few months, but you know. There will be pictures and (hopefully) video when we're done!
Loves to you all! Oh, and if you want to come to an AWESOME wedding in Montana, lemme know. ;)
I found a few that I like...so...anyone have thoughts on these? Or maybe other suggestions?
Everything I need to know, I learned in Kindergarten:
Most of what I really need to know about how to live and what to do, and how to be, I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain, but there in the sandbox at nursery school.
These are the things I learned:
Share everything.
Play fair.
Don't hit people.
Put things back where you found them.
Clean up your own mess.
Don't take things that aren't yours.
Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody.
Wash your hands before you eat.
Flush.
Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
Live a balanced life.
Learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.
Take a nap every afternoon.
When you go out into the world, watch for traffic, hold hands and stick together.
Be aware of wonder.
Remember the little seed in the plastic cup? The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that. Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the plastic cup -- they all die. So do we.
And then remember the book about Dick and Jane and the first word you learned, the biggest word of all: look.
Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and sane living.
Think what a better world it would be if we all -- the whole world -- had cookies and milk about 3 o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap. Or if we had a basic policy in our nation and other nations to always put things back where we found them and cleaned up our own messes. And it is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.
A lovely Love Story by Edward Monkton
The fierce Dinosaur was trapped inside his cage of ice. Although it was cold he was happy in there. It was, after all, his cage.
Then along came the Lovely Other Dinosaur.
The Lovely Other Dinosaur melted the Dinosaur’s cage with kind words and loving thoughts.
I like this Dinosaur thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur.
Although he is fierce he is also tender and he is funny.
He is also quite clever though I will not tell him this for now.
I like this Lovely Other Dinosaur, thought the Dinosaur. She is beautiful and she is different and she smells so nice.
She is also a free spirit which is a quality I much admire in a dinosaur.
But he can be so distant and so peculiar at times, thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur.
He is also overly fond of things.
Are all Dinosaurs so overly fond of things?
But her mind skips from here to there so quickly thought the Dinosaur. She is also uncommonly keen on shopping.
Are all Lovely Other Dinosaurs so uncommonly keen on shopping?
I will forgive his peculiarity and his concern for things, thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur. For they are part of what makes him a richly charactered individual.
I will forgive her skipping mind and her fondness for shopping, thought the Dinosaur. For she fills our life with beautiful thoughts and wonderful surprises. Besides, I am not unkeen on shopping either.
Now the Dinosaur and the Lovely Other Dinosaur are old.
Look at them.
Together they stand on the hill telling each other stories and feeling the warmth of the sun on their backs.
And that, my friends, is how it is with love.
Let us all be Dinosaurs and Lovely Other Dinosaurs together.
For the sun is warm.
And the world is a beautiful place.

I'm sure I'll be adding more, and updating as we go along. It's coming down to the wire...I'm nervous and excited...I think my biggest fear right now is that nothing will go right. I want it to be beautiful and fun for everyone there. Anyway...pictures might come later. :)
So, pics below the cuts of the adorableness of my puppem. :)

I was busy! :) I'm proud of myself!
Oh yeah! 94 days! woohoo!
Anyway, anyone have ideas for alternative processionals?
ACK!
Most of the big stuff is taken care of, but there are a few things I still need to do. Namely, get Colin's kilt, order kilts for the boys, and get one of my bm dresses ordered. She STILL hasn't gotten me her measurements. I swear to god, if she doesn't soon...I'll sic my mother on her. That'll teach her!
Anyway, for the most part, things are coming together. Oh yeah, haven't gotten Save the Dates out yet...but, those will go soon. And then Invites at the beginning of April. hehe, woops. Oh well, whateva.
I'm kinda starting to freak. ARGH!
ANYWAY...I need help and feedback from my friends list!
I'm trying to figure out what I want for the Father/Daughter dance, and I'm having a hard time finding options I really like. I've got a few in mind, I like the first one the most.
So, anyone have ideas or suggestions? :)
I loved her First – Heartland
Forever Young – Rod Stewart
Drive – Alan Jackson
Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel) – Billy Joel
Leaving on a Jet Plane – John Denver
Tiny Dancer – Elton John
You'll be in My Heart – Phil Collins
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
- No guarantees that you will like what I make!
- What I create will be just for you.
- It'll be done sometime this year.
- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story, a CD, something blinky or shiny. I may draw or sculpt something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. I promise that it won't be a pile of boogers on a piece of paper.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you have to repost. We can all make stuff!!
However...I'm going to make something for everyone who comments. Just because I"m sweet like that!
I have found the awesomest gift for my bridesmaids and my brideman! It will be fanTASTIC for the bachelorette party! And the wedding! WOOHOO! I totally win.
In other news...this wedding is eating my brain. :)
Somedays, it IS worth it to try to get over past hurts and broken hearts. I'll just pretend that I'm ok and that I'm better until I really am. I think at this point, it is the safest thing. :)
